Lots a'brewin' Part 2

In continuing with the trying new beers theme, when I went to visit my family at Gilbert Lake State Park, I visited Butternuts Beer & Ale brewery in Garrattsville, NY. They aren't really set up for tours but we were invited in to watch while they were canning their latest batch. It was very loud so we only stayed long enough to buy a sampler case of Porkslap Pale Ale, Moo Thunder Stout, Snappperhead IPA and Heinnieweisse Weissbier. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical about micro-brew in a can but they all were good. The stout has some powerful roasted overtones and the IPA is just on my line of too hoppy but overall I enjoyed each. Plus, the marketing is pretty catchy.
