Lots a'brewin' Part 1

The past month or so has seen a number of beer related activities transpire here. It all began with a trip to Beers of the World in Rochester where I finally found a supply of sour ale in bottles in upstate NY. While quite pricey, it was worth the expense to have a supply of the Duchesse De Bourgogne on hand for special occasions. I also picked up a few other brews to try in due time. I will post about each as I try them. The first I tried when my brother was in town a few weeks back - Gruut Belgian Wit Beer. It was unlike any other Belgian white I've had. It was much spicier and lighter, if that seems possible.
