A bunch of letters. Did you think that was a trick question?
The names we are using recently for our brews go something like this:
- Beagle's Best Bitter
- Jumpin' Jack Steam Ale
- Snowy Sailboat Stout
A lot of people in a pub pick a brew based on the name, much in the way some of us pick wine by the labels. So I've always been intrigued by the names breweries give their beer, especially the ones with powerful imagery like Adirondak Amber or Moose Drool Ale (I guess the imagery there is a thick syrupy brew with bits of vegetation in it?)
So lets start some thoughts about great brew names. I think we need to get ones for the upcoming batches of Fat Tire Pale Ale and Belgian White.
How about:
- Bear Creek Swamp Ale
- Single-track Ale
- ...

I think Single Track is already spoken for - I believe I saw it on a MTB jersey - no reason not to apply it to a good thing. I, being not quite so creative at naming things (I imagine if and when I have children I fear, without proper guidance, they will be named Boy A, Girl A, Boy B, Girl B, etc.) previously used the street of my home as the base name. Hence Chestnut Street Bitter, Pine Street Stout, Commerce Street Cranberry Ale...
Ah, yes, here it is. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/130/2177 I am not familiar with copper ales (sounds expensive) but maybe this could be our attempt after the Fat Tire clone.
How about a Bonnie Bitter?
Bear Creek Swamp Juice Ale....
Spafford Forest at High Noon Ale...
Mudstripe Stout...
Helmet-busting Hill Pale Ale...
Excellent beer name find from a visit to the New Toad: Hobgoblin Ale
